15th Annual Tabouleh Fest

Come experience our Lebanese heritage on Bristow’s Historic Route 66/Main Street.

Saturday May 12, 2018

Always held on the second Saturday in May after the Wildflower Run

For over one hundred years Bristow has been home to several Lebanese immigrants. Tabouleh is a Lebanese dish made of bulgur wheat. There are many different dishes that incorporate Tabouleh. So many that even the name Tabouleh has multiple spellings. Ta-boo-lee is a staple for many families in this area. Bristow is home to the Bishop Brother’s Taboli Factory and Slyman’s Lebanese Foods. You can find their products in your local grocery store.

Vendors, entertainment, activities, and karaoke style Bristow Idol competition.

Tabouleh Fest is brought to you by the Bristow Historical Society

Visitors to Tabouleh Fest will enjoy craft vendors, carnival rides, the Miss Tabouleh Pageant, a children’s area, a talent show and trolley rides.  Saturday’s festivities kick off immediately following the annual Wildflower Run, one of the premier 5K runs in the state.   Enjoy a wide variety of musical acts on the main entertainment stage, see which tabouleh recipe wins the top prize, or tour the only two tabouleh factories in Oklahoma.  Don’t miss the festival’s tabouleh bar, where festival-goers can mix all of their favorite toppings into a tasty bowl of tabouleh.
