It’s All Hands on Deck!

Friends, Neighbors and Media Stepping Up

The last few days have been like a whirlwind for the Ables family as they struggle to complete needed improvements to their almost remodeled home at 6th & Pecan in Bristow. If you’ve read the prior story we posted. you know that the family are on a tight deadline to complete the house – after a very unfortunate contractor experience that left them picking up the pieces and scrambling for helping hands and materials.

Just days ago Kelli Ables had reached out on Facebook with a big HELP! sign. Friends and neighbors began stepping up and lifting her heart, and significant progress has already been made. When a friend shared their ordeal with us at BristowBuzz (thank you), we wanted to share Kelli’s story, too. Judging by the 1,200 plus reads of our previous article… and extensive sharing, it seems the whole town of Bristow is now engaged. Helping hands are on the way, BUT….

There still exists a huge need for materials and supplies to get this done and save the house for the Ables family. Needless to say, the problems with the general contractor led to a financial shortfall in getting these needed materials bought and on-site.

Can you help??

A friend and neighbor, Kathryn Gerry, has set up a gofundme page to help out. If you are in a position to contribute, here is the link to their page:

Another friend set up a money pool account for them via PayPal:
