Sadly, emergency removal from a home and placement into Foster Care is required all too frequently. Adding to the abrupt displacement and frightening circumstances when a child is removed from a home, often treasured items – a special toy, a stuffed animal, a favorite book or photos – are left behind.
The Bristow Girl Scout Troop #761 is looking to bring some sunshine into the lives of those kids through their James Mission ‘On-Call’ delivery of filled suitcases/bags for children who are newly placed into Emergency Foster Care. The “Loads of Love” project.
Girl Scout Troop #761 is collecting the following items for children entering Foster Care:
- Suitcases- new or gently used
- Pillows, Pillowcases
- Bibles (Children’s/age appropriate)
- Toothbrushes and children’s toothpaste
- Body Wash, shampoo+conditioner
- Clothing size 3T to 6 and shoes
- Children’s underwear and socks
Can you help our local Girl Scouts with this very worthwhile effort?
Please drop off items at Route 66 Artisans on Main (118 N. Main, Bristow) by April 22nd or call/text Beth Richardson at 918-845-4698 for pickup.
