Annie Elizabeth Watkins of Stroud

July 14, 1929 – September 29, 2017

Annie Elizabeth Watkins was born July 14, 1929 to Lonnie Paris and Blanche (Allen) Cheek in Ada, Oklahoma.  She departed this life September 29, 2017 at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 15 days.

She spent her youth in Ada where she attended school.  She enjoyed crocheting, bead work and bowling.  She also was a volunteer for the Rainbow’s, Brownie’s, girl scouts and coaching for the junior bowling league.

She is survived by two daughters, Anna Christine Whitbeck and husband Frank of Stillwater and Brenda Lee Watkins Seachris of Depew; one son, Stephen Alex Watkins and wife Brenda of Gypsy; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Joe Paris Watkins; one daughter, Wanda Iline Watkins; three brothers, A.M. Cheek, R.V. Cheek and Frank Cheek; two sisters, Betty Miller and Linda McSwain; two grandsons, Jason Watkins and Kevin Lonnie Watkins; one granddaughter, Kristy LeAnn Seachris.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Bristow First Baptist Church with Reverend John Tidwell officiating.  Interment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 7:00-8:00 pm on Monday, Oct. 2nd.
