David Wayne Morris

April 30, 1953 – August 09, 2016

David Wayne Morris was born April 30, 1953 to Virgil and Ola Morris in Bristow, Oklahoma. He departed this life August 9, 2016 in Ogden, Utah at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 10 days.

He spent his youth in the Bristow years. On August 1, 1972 David Wayne Morris and Rhonda Howard were united in marriage in Carson City, Nevada.

David was a big baseball fan. His favorite team was the San Francisco Giants. He coached little league baseball most recently for his grandson. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking and had a green thumb for gardening. He always stayed busy tinkering in the garage building or fixing things.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Morris of the home; one daughter, Melissa Miles and husband Ken of Clinton, Utah; one son, David Morris Jr. and wife Trina of Oroville, California; three sisters, Dorothy Clark, Bonnie Shirley and Betty Lightle; one brother, Ralph Morris; five grandchildren, Dylan Miles, Hailey Miles, Lexi Miles, Benji Morris, Adam Morris and one great grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Morris and one sister, Viva Lee Tabor.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00PM, Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Gypsy Holiness Church with Pastor Larry Wood officiating. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
