Donald James Shattuck
February 17, 1939 – August 12, 2016
Donald James Shattuck was born February 17, 1939 to James Frank and Anna Faye Shattuck in Bristow, Oklahoma. He departed this life August 12, 2016 at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 28 days.
He was a graduate of Bristow High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as an instructor at Spartan School of Aeronautics. He then went to work for American Airlines.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying airplanes as well as buying planes and fixing them up to sell. When he was younger he raced stock cars. He also enjoyed taking leisure rides on his motorcycle.
He is survived by his son, Silven Shattuck of Bristow; two sisters, Marie Setser of Tulsa and Sylvia Taylor also of Tulsa; one brother Bill Shattuck of Bristow. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charlie Shattuck and one sister, Hazel Earnhardt.
Visitation will be Monday at Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home with Memorial services scheduled for 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Bristow First Christian Church.
