J. Patrick Moore of Bristow
March 04, 1931 – September 17, 2017
Jack Patrick Moore was born March 4, 1931 to Avery Clark and Francile Abraham Moore in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He departed this life September 17, 2017 surrounded by his family at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 15 days.
He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1949 and from Oklahoma State University (Oklahoma A&M) in 1953 earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a minor in Agriculture. He then served in the United States Air Force, resigning as a Captain.
On March 28, 1975 J. Patrick Moore and Jo Anne Clark were united in marriage. He later retired as Postmaster of the Bristow Post Office after 28 years of service and continued working on his ranch raising Angus and Brangus Bulls.
He was a member of the Bristow Rotary Club and the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association. He enjoyed fishing, swimming and walking. He preferred anything that allowed him to enjoy the outdoors. He also loved to watch OSU ballgames and spend time visiting with friends. He was devoted to his wife and very proud of his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne of the Bristow home; three daughters, Kaylen VanOrsdol of Tulsa, Shauna Westall and husband Jason of Tulsa, Kristin Weaver and husband Brian of Gypsy; six grandchildren, Wyatt VanOrsdol, Wade VanOrsdol, Jack Westall, Emily Westall, Savanah Smith and Sierra Weaver as well as numerous cousins and many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Blake Patrick Moore.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00PM, Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Bristow City Cemetery with the Memorial service to follow at 2:00PM at the Bristow Presbyterian Church with Reverend Rebecca Morad officiating.
