Tommy Charles Spradlin of Bristow

June 08, 1946 – November 19, 2017

Tommy Charles Spradlin was born June 8, 1946 to Joe Spradlin and Vola Guilford Spradlin in Vinita, Oklahoma.   He departed this life November 19, 2017 at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 11 days.

Tommy grew up in and around the Vinita area a proud member of the Cherokee Nation.  After graduating from the Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, Oklahoma he would go on to enlist with the United States Coast Guard serving honorably until his release in June of 1970.  During this time he would earn his Vietnam Service Medal.  He would later build a career working with Sherwin Williams and various other paint supply locations as a manager.  June 30, 2006 Tommy Spradlin and Laura Henderson were united in marriage in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  They chose to make Bristow their home in 2011.  Tommy was an avid fisherman and a member of both the American Legion and VFW and was very active in serving the community with both organizations.

He is survived by his Wife Laura of the Bristow home, one daughter; Terri Bihn of Columbus, Ohio and one sister; Saundra Daugherty of Vinita, Oklahoma.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Bill Daugherty.
