Anita R. Tallent

November 26, 1956 – February 16, 2017

Anita (Postma) Tallent passed away at home with loved ones by her side on the evening of February 16th from a progressive stage of cancer called Bile Duct Cholangiocarcinoma. It is a loss for her loved ones because we lost her so soon, but it is a relief that she is not suffering any longer. Anita is lived, missed, and will always be cherished by her family and friends.  Her husband, Felix and her were soulmates, best friends, lovers, and partners that have made it through the best of times as well as the worst of times but together they did everything and survived it all together by each other’s side.

Anita was born in Downey, California to Romke and Anna (Hakze) Postma. She was of dutch origin. Her life really began when she married her soulmate, Felix Milford Tallent Jr. on April 20, 1974. She was known for her love of the outdoors. She loved gardening and her dogs.

She is survived by her loving husband, Felix Milford Tallent Jr. of Bristow, Oklahoma, her two daughters, Shona Marie (Tallent) Downing of Utah, Selena Meshell (Tallent) Stubbings (Roger) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her son, Felix Milford Tallent III (Paula) of Bristow, Oklahoma. She has 6 grandchildren: Skyla Collier and Tyler Downing of Utah, Bradley Pultz of California, Charisma Stubbings of Oklahoma, Kamryn and Christian Tallent of Oklahoma. She is survived by her sister Janet (Postma) Lucero of California and two brothers: Paulus Postma of California and Raymond Postma (Laura) of Idaho, sister-in-law Doris Lewis (Dale), brother-in-law Clifford Tallent (Dana), and mother-in-law Irene Blankenship all of California, as well as nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. Loved ones that cleared the path for Anita were her parents Romke (Pake) and Anna (Beppe) Postma, her sister Fimke (Postma) Casey, and her brother Gerrit Postma.

And so the story goes on, may you be in Heaven with your parents Romke (Pake) and Anna (Beppe), your panda heaven, and we will see you soon. We love you always and forever love your loving husband, children, and grandchildren.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
