Arlene A. Morris

July 14, 1935 – June 27, 2017

Arlene Adelle Morris was born July 14, 1935 to Clyde and Elsie Morris in Topeka, Kansas.  She departed this life June 27, 2017 at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 13 days in Bristow.

Arlene grew up attending school in Topeka; she was a member of the Highland Park graduating class of 1953.  She had previously made her home in Oklahoma City.  While there, she gave thirty years as a civil servant, working as a sheet metal mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base.  Arlene was a former member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, a dog enthusiast and an exceptional flutist.

She is survived by three children, daughter, Carla Nixon and husband Greg of Depew; and two sons, Monte Cain and wife Carol and Benjamin Morris all of Oklahoma City; siblings, Dale Morris and wife Edna of Abilene, Kansas and Phil Morris and wife Marilyn of Topeka, Kansas; two grandchildren, Monica Quandt and Matthew Cain both of Oklahoma City; and one great-grandchild, Zachary Gumm.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband one brother and one sister.  No services are planned at this time.
