Alvin Lawrence & Elvie Leona Cooper of Depew

Alvin Lawrence Cooper was born June 2, 1934 to Joel Alvin and Nevada Pearl Cooper in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Elvie Leona Cooper was born February 17, 1934 to Wiley Arlington and Minnie Ida Winston in Sterley, Texas. They departed this life together July 1, 2016 at the ages of 82 years.

They were united in marriage October 1, 1954 in Highway City, California. To this union were born three sons, John, Joel and Bo. They had lived in many places including Hawaii and California. In 1969 they moved to Depew where they would make their home.

Larry had worked building golf courses all over the country, as well as being a postal worker, turkey farming and produce farming and redi-mix concrete business. Elvie had been a secretary at Bristow Concrete for many years.

They did everything together including gardening, farming and taking care of their farm animals. They also enjoyed spending time with their kids and grandkids.

They are survived by three sons, John Cooper and wife Gina of McCord, Oklahoma, Joel Cooper of Depew, Oklahoma, and Bo Cooper and wife Di of Depew, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Nicholas Cooper, Kendra Cries For Ribs, Mandy Rummel, Brandon Cooper, J.D. Cooper, Amber Sanchez, Wiley Cooper, Jessie Hilbert and Holly Thompson; Great Grandchildren, Kaleb and Joseph Milligan, Will and Sadie Rummel, Blake, Dylan, Mason and Wyatt Cooper, Aaidan, Ezra, Isaiah and Serenity Cries For Ribs, Donovan and Lincoln Cooper, Jadeyn Golay, Kennedy and Maddox Thompson and two on the way.

He is also survived by three brothers, Howard and Herbert Cooper both of Depew, Oklahoma and Roy Cooper of Bedford, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Lee, Jim, Kenneth and Joel Cooper, Betty Vandecar and infants Barbara Ann Cooper and Jessie Cooper; one granddaughter, Sharon Marie Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Willard and Kenneth Winston, Eudora Martinez, Oleita Thompson, Bessie Long and Liela Baugh; one granddaughter, Sharon Marie Cooper.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Friday July 8, 2016 at the Ivan Reeder Auditorium in Depew, Oklahoma with Reverend James Lame officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville, Oklahoma.
