Gary Lee Lawrence was born September 11, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Betty and Floyd Gates. He departed this life September 12, 2017 at the age of 70 years and one day. He was a graduate of Bristow High School. He then attended Oklahoma State University where he received two associates’ degrees. He enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.

She attended school in Danville, Arkansas. On September 26, 1941 Joyce Elois Miller and Omer Leon Kitchens were united in marriage. To this union was born one son, Don. They enjoyed over 65 years together until his passing May 16, 2007. They had been Bristow residents since 1952 moving here from Okmulgee.
